New York v Hatfield

Whilst about half of the group are in New York, the studio looks deserted at 5pm. A calm ambient place as I sit here reflecting on the day, the sun starts to set and the traffic outside is getting busier.. There is definitely something springlike in the air. I wonder how it is in New York, I figure very cold, right? Hope you have all wrapped up for those cultural, architectural and social adventures!

Tutorials this morning: we went through the individual design stages and noted that the interior is now priority - there seems to be some delay in getting into the space - start drawing up the interior, using models and sketch developments as back up for testing ideas. Think mentally about the journey into, through and out of the space.. What can you learn about the scheme through this? What do you imagine? See? Hear? Smell? Think about all these aspects, and remember to link back to the sensory space task. You need to show the experiments - actual models, using a range of materials (found, recycled, collected, gathered from nature etc is suitable for the experiments). We need to see more of this task and the developments then need to move towards more detailed design aspects as part of the overall proposals. Don't delay this process, as it will get you to the next stage in the developments..
Meanwhile..Interim Crit approaching and you will need to gather all the required work in progress for this. List on study net for reminders, plan ahead and get ready to show great ideas materialising into coherent projects..
